It's exciting to bring some of our talented local musicians live on-air from Radio Catskill. These artists have all donate3d their time and energy to promote and sustain public radio! I'm thrilled for you to hear what they have to offer. There's nothing better than hearing a song that is sung by the person who wrote it. Take a listen and see what I mean!

Scott Palermo' is self-taught and brings to his music the rich folk tradition of the sixties and seventies. He takes that flavor; exemplified by influences such as John Prine, Cat Stevens, Gordon Lightfoot, and John Denver; and blends it with more contemporary folk artists and his original compositions to create a program that is musical, historical, and pleasing to audiences of all ages. He's recording an expects to release an album "Covered and Uncovered" with five original songs and nine covers from his favorites.

Lucas Maehara Rotman has a sound steeped in the traditions of Americana, Lucas' songs draw on a biracial Philly boy’s urban sensibilities. Word craft and poetic imagery run rampant through his lyrical universe, with an arc that bends towards social justice, lending weight and depth to his storytelling. Lucas is a Brooklyn based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who performs, records and writes as a solo artist, with his upstate NY posse The Lucas Maehara Band and with his Brooklyn troupe, the Melodic Miners. A regular performer at venues in and around NYC, Lucas is excited to be working on new music to be released in the near future.
