Ringo Starr

Ringo has self-produced his latest album "2012".

He joined the Beatles in 1962 as the drummer, but he also sang from the very beginning. We hear 1963 "Matchbox" Live at the BBC. His most recognizable song is "With a Little Help From My Friends" from the Beatles 1967 Sgt Peppers. His first solo composition was "Don't Pass My By" from the White Album 1968 and finally "Octopus' Garden" from Abbey Road. In 1970 he released his first two solo album but also contributed to Stephen Still's first solo album and we hear "Song to a Flame". He joinged George for the Concert for Bangladesh" in 1971. In 1973 his 3rd studio album "Ringo" featured all the Beatles together again on the same album and we hear John Lennon sing and George Harrison play with Ringo on "I'm the Greatest". After John died all three played on the George Harrison song "All Those Years Ago" in 1981. His first self produced album was 2010's "Y Not" and we hear "Peace Dream" with Paul McCartney on bass. Finally we hear from his most recent recording "Ringo 2012" we hear "Step Lightly" and "Anthem".
