His style is influenced by the traditional folk/country sounds of John Prine, Cat Stevens, Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Dylan, John Denver, among others. He sings about love and life as social commentary.
Poison Love Band - Poison Love Band presents a unique mix of Americana, featuring lead fiddle/guitar/percussion/vocal harmonies and original songwriting that evokes the spirit of the natural surroundings of the river valley. Their roots are taken from both European and indigenous cultures and easily blend Folk-Rock-Country genres. Lead singer, Dan Brinkerhoff's distinctive high voice has been compared to Neil Young. The band is committed to community building through the shared experience of live music.
