David and Kathy started the Bleecker St Reality Band in 1992 working with bass player Dan Martin. They rehearsed every week at Euphoria Studios in Manhattan where Kathy and David were partners for four years. They played constantly and recorded and produced the album UNREAL at Power Station while Tony Bongiovi was still the owner.
David came to New York from Illinois to pursue musical studies at the Juilliard School and Columbia University. After his academic work, David continued to develop the art of the drums with jazz greats Michael Carvin, Andrew Cyrille and Joe Morello. David's interpretive approach and pop-jazz feel gives BSRB their distinct thrust and passion.
